Happy Birthday Grandma Sugar

We want to send a very special birthday wish to our Grandma Sugar who is celebrating her 85th birthday. We love you very much and hope you enjoy your special day.

Championships 2008

C-Man did AMAZING!!! He finished 4th in the freestyle and 6th in the butterfly and knocked time off both. In spite of the 107 degree temperature and EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH we were there to cheer him on! We are so proud of his hard work and determination and it really paid off for him in the end, way to go.

Notice the new haircut. Sleek & aero dynamic to just fly through the water!!
Lookin' good! Now he has thoughts of the 2012 Olympics in London, that is of course if his baseball thing doesn't work out!!

Happy!

Prelims

Tuesday we were back at the pool for individual stroke prelims. The big C qualified for freestyle and butterfly. He once again did great knocking 2 whole seconds off his butterfly seed time (that's the time that qualified him to swim in prelims, also known as his personal best time this season). He finished in FIRST place in his freestyle heat and 4th overall (out of 42 swimmers) and in butterfly he finished 3rd in his heat and 7th overall (out of 22 swimmers). Since he finished in the top 8 on both strokes he will return Wednesday to the FINALS!! Way to go!!

Checking out the competition

Pep talk from Coach V

C-Man freestylin'

First place Grandma Sugar, what do ya think of that?!?!?!?!

Anticipation...waiting to see if he finished in the top 8 to qualify for finals.

WHOO HOO!!!! made it now the phone call to Dad to give him the good news. Love that smile!

IM Championships

Monday C-Man had IM Championships and he did AMAZING. For those of you wondering what the heck is an IM well, it's the individual medley swimming butterfly, back stroke, breath stroke, freestyle. His parents couldn't be more proud of him!!! He finished 3rd in his heat and 7th overall in the 9-10 age bracket and what makes his parents so proud is the fact that he got out there and did his best and had a great time.

Stretching before the big race with his serious game face (with a little smirk).

Bring it on, BABY!!!

Just finished his race, he looks awful tired!

Daddy & Little D came to the meet cheer on big brother. Big huge thumbs up C-Man!

More swim team

Well, as the regular season some to and end this weekend we are resting up for championship week!! C qualified for IM or individual medley finals (butterfly, backstroke, breathstroke, freestyle) so that's Monday and then Tuesday he will swim in the freestyle and butterfly prelims. Depending on how he does he could make it to finals on Wednesday (he has to finish in the top 8). So be thinking fast swim thoughts for him and cool thoughts for his parents who will be outside during the HOTTEST part of the day!!

Summer Fun!

The little boys have finally gotten more confidence with their swimming ability! We still have a long way to go until they are "water safe" but we have definitely made some significant improvements in the past few weeks which we were thinking would NEVER happen! With their newfound confidence they are having a blast swimming and doing "cammonballs"!

Diving

The big kids took a diving class at the local pool. Can't say they learned much but they had a great time and that's all that matters!

Father's Day

I know I am about 2 weeks behind in posting these pictures, but that seems to be an ongoing theme in our life. We had a very relaxing day with a morning brunch, swimming and BBQ in the afternoon.

The man that gave me our four fabulous children. Some days are harder than others but at the end of each day I am so grateful to have the family that I do and I wouldn't trade my life for ANYTHING. Thank you honey for being such an amazing father and husband, I couldn't have asked for more! Hope you enjoyed your day.
My Dad...love the hat!

Not sure what D was doing but he was content to sit on the tub with little swimmer dude in his hands.

Toy Story FANATICS

Right now the movie of choice around our house is Toy Story 1 & 2 and the lesser known Buzz Lightyear flick. Which is a welcome change from Thomas the Tank Engine!! The little guys are loving all of the "vintage" (AKA hand-me-down) Toy Story toys from their big brother & sister (including the VHS tapes!).

I love this boy to infinity and beyond...

Just a little Buzz & Woody video for your enjoyment.

Swim Team 2008

Well, we're back at the summer swim team thing. The difference is this year we're at the TOP of the age bracket so we are hoping at championships this will make all the difference (last year C was first alternate at the finals and didn't get to swim-that means they took the top 8 times and C was number 9). Things are going well so far this season!

FIRST PLACE BABY!!
