Santa

We have been busy, busy, busy lately, thus the neglected blog. We went to the Polar Express (more pictures to follow) and the kids went to see Santa. It was so much fun watching the kids interact with Santa. P ran up to him and started telling him EVERYTHING he wants and how he has been a good guy this year ("everything" consists of Thomas the Tank Engine and all things related). D on the other hand was not thrilled with his parents for forcing him to sit on Santa's lap and didn't say a word and would only give us his usual sideways glance for the picture, typical D. At least there were no tears this year.

Eat, Sleep, Breathe Sports

Well, if it's not a weekend of gymnastics then we must have baseball! C-Man had a tournament this weekend (yes that does mean we just had 3 days of baseball) and the boys did really well and had lots of fun. Final standings aren't out yet but we'll keep you posted.

Swing batta, batta, SWING!

Jack-O-Lanterns

I know this is a little out of order (that's the story of our life) but I forgot about these photos I took on the 30th. The Princess & C-Man had fun carving pumpkins and the little guys were happy playing with their cars and staying up past their 8 o'clock bedtime.

Ew this is so gross
Even Mom & Dad got into the pumpkin carving action.

The Day After

Here's the Halloween hangover. The boys spent most of November 1st just laying around watching television and being really low key. You would think with those blankets on them it was really cold outside instead of the 90 plus temperatures we are having!

Halloween

We had a great Halloween! Halloween has never been one of my favorite holidays but once you have kids you are thrown into it 110%! I have to say this was one of our most fun Halloween's ever. C-Man was not very gung ho on the whole Cardinals cheerleader thing (he succumbed to peer pressure) and ended up having a great time in his costume. The Princess just couldn't resist a group theme with the little boys and how totally appropriate is Thing 1 & 2 for D & P!
C-Man decided to ditch the blonde pig tail wig for the 'fro...I didn't ask, he is wearing a skirt, socks that say CHEER and make-up so if he wanted to change his hair more power to him!!

Thing 1 & Thing 2

Sometimes getting Thing 1 & Thing 2 in the same picture is absolutely impossible.

Halloween

We had a celebrity show up at the school...

Paris Hilton and Tinkerbell stopped by for some afternoon fun(and no that is not me)

Halloween

We got together with some friends before school for some pictures. More Halloween pictures to follow when I have a chance to upload them but for now just a little preview.

Nice pyramid girls, I mean boys.
Yes, that is C-Man on the right (in the pyramid he's in the middle-next to the 'fro-love those blonde pig tails). The Princess finally got the sister she always wanted. Maybe if these were the real Arizona Cardinal cheerleaders we might win a few games!!

Tucson Road Trip

The Princess had her first "out of town" meet in Tucson. She did great and we had lots of fun on our little road trip.

Yes, that is my daughter upside down and flipping OFF the bar. In technical terms she is doing a fly away. She makes it look so easy!

Baseball Tournament

While the Princess was in Tucson for gymnastics C-Man had his first baseball tournament over the weekend. His team did great finishing 4th in the tournament which is awesome considering it is their first tournament together.

Just hangin' out

It amazes me how the boys can in one minute be so sweet and quiet and calm...

...and the very next minute is all star wrestling. Really, no joke the first picture was taken at 10:54 am and the next at 10:55 am. There really is never a dull moment with kids!

Gymnastics

Last weekend we were back at the gymnastics thing. Through all the blood, sweat & tears The Princess still loves gymnastics, especially competition! We are SO PROUD of her and all her hard work and dedication.

Total frustration on the beam!
Sometimes you need a pep talk from your coach...
...and your Daddy too!
Great beam routine!

Flagstaff

Dad & C-Man went on an overnight field trip to Flagstaff with the 4th grade. They visited Sunset Crater, Walnut Canyon, Lowell Observatory, Northern Arizona University and the most important Peter Piper Pizza!

C-Man & his posse in the Walkup Skydome. The Skydome was named for former University President Dr. J. Lawrence Walkup. (1958 - 1979). The Skydome is the second largest clear-span timber dome in the world.
This tree is so cool. The tree was struck by lightning and the left side died but the right side continued to grow.

Race for the NL pennant

Now that the Yankees are out C-Man is once again a Diamondback fan (how did an Arizona kid become a Yankee fan??? Guess we'll direct that question to Uncle Texas!). We'll be cheering on our D-backs tonight against the Colorado Rockies in Game One of the National League Championship Series. Go D-backs!

Rock Star

D is our budding rock star! He is always singing or turning everything into a drum set (NO he does not need a drum set for Christmas). Now he is kicking it up a notch and adding some hair to his act.

Fall Camping

Last month we went camping with our friends. It was great to get out of the Valley heat and enjoy the cool pines. The kids enjoyed having more kids to play with and more kids to play with means more relaxation for Mom & Dad!

Two days of fishing and this is all they caught! Except of course the one that got away from C's line (sounds like a fish story to me).

Keeping P's hair longer hides the devil horns...I mean halo!

New blog

OK, I couldn't seem to figure out what I did wrong on the old blog so I have just decided to start a new one. If I have things figured out there should be a link to the old one but I won't be adding any new pictures there. Maybe someday I will figure out this whole world wide web internet blog thing!!
