Is it VINTAGE, RETRO, or just plain OLD???

Yes, that is what you think it is...an ATARI!!! Someone who will remain anonymous still has his ATARI from like 1980 something, can you say kickin' it OLD SCHOOL! Oh man, back in the day...but, when you are a few short days from your 4th birthday Space Invaders and Pac Man are just to cool for words and these boys were mesmerized for 2 days, until Mom had enough of the TV and ATARI all over the kitchen island and said 1982 called and they want their ATARI back.

Whoo hoo I WIN!

I. HAVE. GOT. TO. SHOOT. THAT. SPACESHIP!

Yea Dig Dog, you rock at this game!

State Gymnastics Meet

The Princess had her State Meet last weekend. This is what she has worked toward for the past year. Excuse the pictures...mom forgot her telephoto lens so things are a little blurry, but you get the idea.

Bars 9.225

Floor 9.40

Beam 9.40

Vault 9.425
(This is an old picture...we rarely get vault pictures so I had to dig through our archives to find this one!)
For a grand total of 37.45
which means the Princess finished in
2nd Place All Around
That's right 2nd place in STATE!!!
Way to go baby girl!

Our team finished in 2nd Place (only 2/10ths of a point behind first place).
Way to go girls!!!

Tournament

Due to C-Man's prior commitment (ah, ya something about a wedding) he was unable to play on Saturday but made it on Sunday to help his team WIN the tournament! After a bit of a rough start (partying until midnight when you have an 8 am game, not a wise choice-what sort of parents does this kid have anyway!) he got warmed up and hit an in the park
HOME RUN
Way to go Mr. Man!

Family

This is a post to a person who is very special to us...my cousin! She left her hubby & two boys behind in Idaho to come to my sister's wedding. Sounds like no big deal (hey, a weekend away from the responsibilities of being a wife & mommy-sounds like heaven to me!), but it was HUGE, she left her youngest on his very FIRST birthday to be with our crazy family AND she looked after P-Man for most of the reception so his parents could mingle. For this we are eternally grateful. We miss having Cousin Mary and her family close by, and cherish our limited time together! Thank you for all your help at the wedding, we love you!
And very HAPPY BIRTHDAY
wishes to little A-Rat on his first birthday.

Wedding

Our princess

The bride and the "B" string bridesmaids!

Dig-dog was DONE with the whole wedding "thing"

The Retro Cake

OK so it's not a retro cake, just a retro cake topper.
This is the beautiful cake with the same cake topper my parents used nearly 40 years ago.

Yup, that's the parents using said retro cake topper January 11, 1969.

Wedding

Three generations

My two handsome men!

Catchin' a few zzz's before the reception!

This was our transportation from the church to the reception

(the bride is a teacher, thus the bus!)
The boys absolutely LOVED the BIG YELLOW SCHOOL BUS!

Dig-Dog had the biggest smile the whole time!

The Wedding

The big wedding weekend has come and gone. Everything was beautiful and well orchestrated. More pictures will follow, these are just what was on my camera. All the girls

I think these are the best looking groomsman & bridesmaid!

Daddy & his Princess-don't they clean up nicely!

Me & my LITTLE sister (yes she is taller than me)

The Making Of A Beautiful Bride

Before
During
After...doesn't she look happy!

Challenge

Our challenge for the weekend was to contain P-Man's "enthusiasm" during the wedding & reception.
Maybe it should be your parents on that kneeler, PRAYING for good behavior!!!

Please, please, please no misbehaving in God's House P-Man (yes, we did beg)

I am not sure what the problem is, I am a good guy ALL the time!

P-Man, walkin' to the beat of his own drum (at least 2 steps away from Daddy)

Are You Ready For Some BASEBALL!!!

We made our first baseball "road trip" over the weekend. A three day baseball tournament in Las Vegas. Thanks to an AMAZINGLY supportive family (did I mention our family is amazingly supportive) Mom & Dad were able to take C-Man to Vegas ALONE (no brothers OR a sister...NOBODY). It was a weekend of being the ONLY CHILD, something C-Man has experienced, ahh, like NEVER! The weekend was great, the boys played incredibly well against some really talented teams and we made it to Sunday play, so not to shabby!! Oh ya, and Mom won 100 bucks on a nickle machine-whoohoo, not bad for a $20 investment!

Makin' a run for home plate, GO BABY GO!

Yup, that's his tongue sticking out...just like his Dad, always stickin' out his tongue when he concentrates!

Everytime I look at this picture that nasty song comes to mind...

When you're sliding into first
And your pants begin to burst
That's diarrhea, diarrhea

OK people give me a break, I hear your groans through the internet...I live in a house of boys who are perfecting the art of bathroom humor, what other song would come to mind?!?!
Well, this is my blog so humor me for a minute while I thank some really great people.
First, to my parents, sister & bro-in-law (almost) thank you for taking in my kids for the weekend, trick-or-treating and all. We couldn't do it without all your help and support (especially you, MOM)!
Second, to my son for your talent and determination. Spending the weekend with you was wonderful. I am so proud to be your mom, you are truly a great kid!
Third, to my husband, you are the best! Thank you for making me laugh through all the hard stuff!

We went to the doctor today to get
FLU SHOTS

Don't they look PATHETIC!!!

Don't worry, it's all good, not a single tear was shed!

They are just laying it on thick for the camera, pretty convincing!

School Pictures

The boys just brought home their very FIRST school pictures. They both look so darn grown up!!!
