White Mountains 2010

Our vacation, a picture review. We had a GREAT time and some of us were able to relax a little more than others! The Princess did not make the family camping trip this year so she could go to gymnastics camp. We missed her but she had a fabulous time in Wisconsin.

P-Man got to ride the quad & boy was he in heaven

The boys LOVED playing on the "cow gate"

A day would not be complete without a little baseball...even if it is raining!

My boys!

Woo hoo, lost the training wheels!!

Look at the big boy bikes now!

Good Morning Camp, I am ready!!!

Sometimes they really do like each other

Quite an outfit for catching crawdads

Cookin' up the catch of the day

What a difference a day makes...

This in K...
...K is not catching ANY fish (neither is anyone else) so she is mad, very mad.

"Why are you taking my picture, can't you see I am having a BAD fishing day!!"

"I CAUGHT ONE! But eewww I am not going to touch it!"

Persistance pays off, eventually!

Heaven

This is where we spent our vacation this summer, absolute heaven!

Bear Fight

We went camping and...P got into a fight with a bear. No ordinary bear, a big brown bear with claws and sometimes when he tells the story there were 2 bears. But, don't worry P won and the bear (or bears) "wost."

OK reality check...no we are not letting our children fight with random brown bears in the forest. Mom was exhausted and lazy and did not feel like picking up all the toys on the floor (for the 50th time that day) before the boys went to bed and Patrick fell out of bed and hit his face on some random toy and now...mom feels guilty for not picking up the toys (for the 51st time that day!), live and learn.

Polar Express

In early December we took a family road trip (including the parents, sister & her boyfriend) up north to the Grand Canyon Railway to ride on the Polar Express. We experienced the magic of The Polar Express, the classic children's book by Chris Van Allsburg. The Polar Express comes to life when the train departs the Williams Depot for a journey through the dark and quiet wilderness for a special visit to the "North Pole." We enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies while listening to the magical story. We watched the joy on the children's faces when the train arrived at the North Pole, where Santa Claus and his reindeer were waiting! Santa then boards The Polar Express and hands each child their own special gift. I highly recommend this trip to all of those who truly believe and if you can't make the trip to the North Pole via Williams, Arizona then check out the book (I think it's better than the movie). This was truly a magical weekend for our family. I think the adults had just as much fun as the kids.

No trip through Flagstaff would be complete without a trip to Bun Huggers for a burger, yummy! I think D is going to turn into a pickle!!

I just love when they do things like this!

WOW a picture where all four are looking at the camera-to bad the afternoon sun was so bright!
Nanny reading The Polar Express before our big trip to "The North Pole"

All Aboard!!

The love birds!
