In early December we took a family road trip (including the parents, sister & her boyfriend) up north to the Grand Canyon Railway to ride on the Polar Express. We experienced the magic of The Polar Express, the classic children's book by Chris Van Allsburg. The Polar Express comes to life when the train departs the Williams Depot for a journey through the dark and quiet wilderness for a special visit to the "North Pole." We enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies while listening to the magical story. We watched the joy on the children's faces when the train arrived at the North Pole, where Santa Claus and his reindeer were waiting! Santa then boards The Polar Express and hands each child their own special gift. I highly recommend this trip to all of those who truly believe and if you can't make the trip to the North Pole via Williams, Arizona then check out the book (I think it's better than the movie). This was truly a magical weekend for our family. I think the adults had just as much fun as the kids.
No trip through Flagstaff would be complete without a trip to Bun Huggers for a burger, yummy! I think D is going to turn into a pickle!!

I just love when they do things like this!

WOW a picture where all four are looking at the camera-to bad the afternoon sun was so bright!
