Tournament

Due to C-Man's prior commitment (ah, ya something about a wedding) he was unable to play on Saturday but made it on Sunday to help his team WIN the tournament! After a bit of a rough start (partying until midnight when you have an 8 am game, not a wise choice-what sort of parents does this kid have anyway!) he got warmed up and hit an in the park
HOME RUN
Way to go Mr. Man!

Are You Ready For Some BASEBALL!!!

We made our first baseball "road trip" over the weekend. A three day baseball tournament in Las Vegas. Thanks to an AMAZINGLY supportive family (did I mention our family is amazingly supportive) Mom & Dad were able to take C-Man to Vegas ALONE (no brothers OR a sister...NOBODY). It was a weekend of being the ONLY CHILD, something C-Man has experienced, ahh, like NEVER! The weekend was great, the boys played incredibly well against some really talented teams and we made it to Sunday play, so not to shabby!! Oh ya, and Mom won 100 bucks on a nickle machine-whoohoo, not bad for a $20 investment!

Makin' a run for home plate, GO BABY GO!

Yup, that's his tongue sticking out...just like his Dad, always stickin' out his tongue when he concentrates!

Everytime I look at this picture that nasty song comes to mind...

When you're sliding into first
And your pants begin to burst
That's diarrhea, diarrhea

OK people give me a break, I hear your groans through the internet...I live in a house of boys who are perfecting the art of bathroom humor, what other song would come to mind?!?!
Well, this is my blog so humor me for a minute while I thank some really great people.
First, to my parents, sister & bro-in-law (almost) thank you for taking in my kids for the weekend, trick-or-treating and all. We couldn't do it without all your help and support (especially you, MOM)!
Second, to my son for your talent and determination. Spending the weekend with you was wonderful. I am so proud to be your mom, you are truly a great kid!
Third, to my husband, you are the best! Thank you for making me laugh through all the hard stuff!

WHEW! What a weekend!

What a busy weekend we had!! (although not as crazy a weekend as Uncle Texas & Aunt Betty Ann had weathering Hurricane IKE! They made it through just fine, but the same can't be said for some trees in their yard)The Princess had a gymnastics meet up north and C-Man had a baseball tournament in the far east valley. So we decided to divide and conquer!! Dad headed east and Mom headed north each with a twin in tow.

Before the meet we had a nice picnic lunch on the courthouse lawn in Prescott. The weather was absolute heaven.

Deeda love...

Then it was time for a little competition!
You got it, 1st place all around. What a wonderful start to the season.

After a VERY long meet we all wished we could do this!

The agony of defeat!

Unfortunately C-Man's team didn't do as well, but he had fun and played great and with more practice (and some work on their defense) his team WILL do GREAT at the next tournament!

Take me out to the ballgame...

C-Man had his first baseball tournament this weekend. The boys worked hard and played well together and ended up in second place in the tournament. This is amazing since today when they started playing it was 95 and when they finished their second game it was 105-way to hot to be playing (or watching) baseball, but in spite of the heat everyone had a great time!

The little boys kept busy playing trains!!

Take me out to the ballgame...

We took the big kids to Little League Day at Chase Field.

Hoping a Major Leaguer would come sign some autographs. Got one from Max Scherzer, a pitcher but that was all, better luck next time!

After the kids ran the bases at the end of the game (everyone can do that after all Sunday home games) they got to go in the D-Backs dugout (not everyone can do that!), guess it pays to know people in high places!!

Enjoying baseball on a sunny 70 degree Arizona day when it's 23 frigid degrees in Chicago at 1:05 pm game time

The BIG guys enjoying the beautiful day!

P and his cast that doesn't slow him down a bit!! He was running, jumping & rolling down the hill.

Baseball Tournament

As soon as we wrapped up Christmas we were off and running for the Winter Nationals baseball tournament with C. Five days of baseball and we were all exhausted but had a great time. A huge thanks to Kim's mom for watching the little guys so we were able to watch (and enjoy) C's games. The team came in 4th.

Can SOMEBODY get that kid a haircut!

Eat, Sleep, Breathe Sports

Well, if it's not a weekend of gymnastics then we must have baseball! C-Man had a tournament this weekend (yes that does mean we just had 3 days of baseball) and the boys did really well and had lots of fun. Final standings aren't out yet but we'll keep you posted.

Swing batta, batta, SWING!

RUN, RUN FAST!!

Race for the NL pennant

Now that the Yankees are out C-Man is once again a Diamondback fan (how did an Arizona kid become a Yankee fan??? Guess we'll direct that question to Uncle Texas!). We'll be cheering on our D-backs tonight against the Colorado Rockies in Game One of the National League Championship Series. Go D-backs!
