We had a fabulous time together enjoying our veggie subs (this was the first Friday of lent so no Gorilla dog smothered in chili and onions-major bummer) and a couple of ice cold beers and a little Suns basketball-all the makings of an absolutely stellar date.

BUT, you ask what could possibly go wrong???? Beers, basketball, no kids sounds pretty great but the reality is we have gone many months in a house filled with kids (3 boys mind you) without an injury...sooooo this was the night!!! The boys were in the EXTREMELY capable hands of their grandparents but even in the best of care boys will be boys! After some "tusseling" AKA wrestling, P tripped and fell and broke his leg.
The broken leg slowed him down for the first 24 hours, oh maybe it was 30 hours but after that he just crawled everwhere he wanted to be and once they put the cast on he just runs (and jumps) and you would have no idea he has a broken leg, oh except for the bright red cast that goes from his toes to the very tip top of his leg. Last weekend I even caught him trying to ride his tricycle out front!!! Hopefully if all goes well he will get the darn thing off in a week or so and he will be back to 100 mph 24/7, oh ya he is already doing that so guess I better rest up for what life without the cast means!
